Shipping:

Where is my tracking number?

Before you contact us, please check your email including your Spam/Junk folder. You get a tracking number via email at the moment when we create your shipping label. Usually within 1-3 business days.

For Pre-Sale orders, it’s the same, tracking will be issues at the moment of creation of a shipping label. Read rules of Pre-Sale at the bottom of this page.

HOW LONG DOES THE SHIPPING TAKE?

We usually ship within 1-3 business days from receiving an order. Within North America it usually takes from 1-2 days to up to 3 weeks. East coast customers usually receive their order within a few days. Pre-sale orders take longer, please read the rules of pre-sale at the bottom of the page.

Can I change my shipping address?

We will only ship to the addresses specified in your order, while you're placing the order. If you need to change it, you have to cancel your order first (if it's not shipped yet), and then place a new order.

SIZE, CHANGE OF IT?

Same as above, we will ship the size specified in your oder only. If you need to change it, please cancel your order and place a new one.

WHAT SHIPPING SERVICE DO YOU USE?

We use Canada Post & USPS Expedited service, or small air parcel for the non-continental USA and International orders. 

FREE SHIPPING?

If a listing states Free Shipping it means the shipping within continental USA and Canada using expedited service by USPS or Canada Post is included in your order. Express service is extra. 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, outside USA and Canada

Yes, we can ship internationally and non-continental US. Unfortunately only one gi per order can be sent to overseas.

 We do not provide tracking number for any overseas packages. We do however provide proof of shipment if required.

If you require the tracking information there are two options:

  1. Wait for up to 2-3 months for the package to arrive, or
  2. Pay around $100 for shipping and it'll get there within 1 week. Otherwise we ship by small pack air service and usually customers get their orders within 3 weeks.

Shipments to Brazil - unfortunately we cannot guarantee the delivery within Brazil. Packages have been lost in the past and not recovered. We will ship, but when it gets to Brazil, it's customer's responsibility to track it.

LOCAL PICKUP - CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER? 

Yes, if you live in the GTA area, you can come by our office and pick up your order. You have to make a purchase first, and then make an appointment with us. Call: 647.501.4346 - we can always arrange something. We do not refund shipping charges. Pick-ups require special processing, which is covered by the shipping fee. 

warranty & exchange/refunds:

does my gi come with a WARRANTY?

All of our kimonos (only gis) are covered by a limited 3 months warranty. 30 days for a full (minus shipping) refund and up to 90 days for an exchange. This covers any serious manufacturing defect that occurs during normal use of the Kimono. We do not cover damage caused by irregular use (gi chin ups, tug of war, sparring with tigers).

 Any regular wear and tear of the kimono (single thread breaks, rope is too long/fraying) are not covered by our warranty. 

We require the kimono to be shipped to us for confirmation of damage, and then we will ship you a replacement, if we determine it’s allegeable.

IF SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH A Kimono OR OTHER PRODUCT, CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE IT?

Yes, within 30 days, of your order we can exchange or return. If you find something is wrong with a product, and you'd like to return or exchange (read a paragraph above about the warranty), ship it back to us and we'll take care of you - exchange, repair or refund. Refund is performed on unused, never washed items only, no exceptions. We cannot guarantee availability of the product. In the case of out of stock items we can exchange for another item of the same price, or wait until item is restocked.

REFUND POLICY

No exceptions. We will refund your money for unworn, unused, unwashed items, MINUS the shipping cost. We will hold $15 for the Canadian shipments, and $20 for USA shipments. Also, as mentioned above, we do not refund shipping charges for local pick-ups. This acts as a processing fee, we do not have a retail store.

SALES and SUPER SALES Refunds/Exchanges

If a gi purchased during our sales or super-sales below $100 and if it needs to be returned, there is a re-stocking fee of around 10%. If it needs to be exchanged, there is a $10 fee. Unless Redstar Fightwear is at fault.

why are your prices in us dollars?

We are located in Canada, but we sell across the world. USD is the most common and widely used currency around the globe. It might change in time, but for now that's what it is. This is also the currency we deal in with our manufacturing/sewing team.

TAX?

All Canadian customers are charged 13% HST. USA and International customers are not charged.

CAN I GET A BETTER DEAL IF I BUY A FEW?

To qualify for an additional discount, you need to purchase minimum 6 kimonos online and then we'll refund the difference at the time of shipping back to your card. Contact us.

can you accommodate WHOLESALE ORDERS?

Yes. Please keep in mind that out Direct to Consumer strategy doesn’t give much space for discounts for a wholesale cost, but there still some. Contact us for details. 

can we order CUSTOM GIS for our gym?

We are able to make special order kimonos with your team patch and other embroidery options. Contact us for more details!

ordering:

ARE YOUR GIS PRESHRUNK?

Yes. We use triple water treatment of our fabrics prior to production. Our latest test and feedback from Redstar Athletes show that even after machine drying the Stamp has minimal shrinkage.

We strongly recommend that you cold wash and hang dry all Redstar products.

 Always remember - ALL cotton gis shrink, and with time shrink more and more. White fabric shrinks more, than color.

I CANNOT SEE MY SIZE IN THE DROP DOWN?

If your size is not listed on any given product it means we are currently sold out of that size. Sign up to our newsletter for updates on new products and new batches!

rules of Pre-sale:

  1. Pre-sales are made to help our customers to save on the cost of kimonos, but customers have to wait longer period for the product to be delivered. Yes, you wait for the product to arrive, but you save money.
  2. Pre-sale/pre-order means we don't have the product in stock - it's being produced.
  3. Estimated delivery/shipping date - we cannot guarantee exact shipping dates with pre-sale orders. Too many variables in play and in our experience setting up the expectations with you, our customer, and promise to you exact date is dangerous and disrespectful. That's the reason for an approximate date, and that date might change at any time. Please check our web site from time to time for the updates.
  4. Cancelation/Refund policy - customer can change/cancel/ask for refund of pre-sale order within 45 days. After 45 days from making the order, you, our customer, accept to wait for the order and cannot cancel it any longer. 
  5. All orders are shipped to the addresses provided during the purchase. If your address changed, or will change, please email us and make sure you get our confirmation that we received your request, it's important.
  6. NO PICK UP - local pick up is not available for pre-sale orders.
